How settlement works
Before you can bid you need a payment method on file: a saved card, a linked PayPal account, or a funded balance. Crypto works by topping up your balance first, since a blockchain payment cannot be taken automatically when the clock runs out.
When an auction closes we charge the winner using their default method, falling back to their balance. If the charge fails, the bid is forfeited and the slot passes to the next-highest bidder. Winners without a saved method get a crypto invoice and 24 hours to pay before the same thing happens.
Placement starts at the beginning of the term week and runs for seven days.
